How we prioritise child safety and wellbeing. Strive Early Learning Centre is committed to child safety, wellbeing, and protection. We uphold NSW Child Safe Standards and provide a safe, inclusive environment for all children.
Strive Early Learning Centre educators and staff are committed to ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and rights of all children and young people. We understand our statutory duty of care and responsibility to implement the National Child Safe Principles and embed the NSW Child Safe Standards to actively prevent and respond to allegations of child abuse and harm.
We are committed to implementing our Child Safe Environment Policy, which incorporates the Child Safe Standards and reinforces our zero tolerance for child abuse. This policy promotes awareness of the importance of child safety and ensures the protection of children who may be at risk of harm, abuse, neglect, or exploitation within our Service and the broader community.
We ensure all staff, volunteers, students, and contractors engaged at our Service are suitable to work with children through rigorous recruitment and selection processes, including Working With Children Checks and ongoing suitability assessments.
The safety, wellbeing, and rights of every child are our highest priority. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse, harm, neglect, and exploitation.
All educators, volunteers, students, and contractors hold a valid Working With Children Check, complete safe recruitment and reference checks, and participate in ongoing child protection training.
We comply with Mandatory Reporting requirements, the NSW Reportable Conduct Scheme, and all child protection laws and regulations. Every concern is taken seriously and acted upon promptly.
We respect and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, culturally and linguistically diverse families, children with disability, and children of all identities and backgrounds.
Every child has the right to feel safe, be heard, be respected, and participate in decisions that affect them. We provide age-appropriate learning about personal safety and how to seek help.
We work in partnership with families and the wider community to strengthen child safe practices, maintain open communication, and continuously improve our policies and procedures.
Child safety is not just a policy at Strive ELC, it is part of our everyday culture. We ensure that:
We believe children have the right to feel safe, be heard, be respected, and participate in decisions that affect them.
We actively empower children by encouraging them to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. We also provide age-appropriate learning about personal safety and how to seek help.
At Strive Early Learning Centre, child safety is not optional, it is our promise.
We are committed every day to ensuring that all children are safe, supported, and able to learn and grow in a secure environment. We are committed to continuous improvement as a foundation for delivering exceptional care and support. Through ongoing reflection, regular reviews, and proactive practices, we continually strengthen and enhance every aspect of our services.
The safety, wellbeing, and holistic development of every child remain at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards across all areas of our operations, ensuring quality outcomes for children, families, and our community both now and into the future.
